I chose to do a stop motion video with my table partner. We picked the project, because we both found an interest with the stop motion. The way the video flowed was very unique and I liked the way it was a little choppy.
First off we thought about what we wanted to draw and since my partner was very passionate about her recent present, a stress doll, I drew that. Then we created a story board about how the stress doll was going to come out of the paper and then go back in. Finally we started drawing originally with colored pencil to get an outline then went over with marker. Added a shadow then showed the actual doll and played around with it. At the very end, the doll was put back into the paper and that's where it ended. Pictures were taken periodically of each stop and finally edited together to flow. The end project was a video of a multitude of pictures.
I found the accuracy between the drawing and the actual doll to be extremely successful. The drawing had a 3D element to it making it pop like an actual doll.
if I were to improve anything it would be to add paper cut out effect between when we transitioned between the drawing and the doll. That would make it apparent of when the doll was in the paper and when it was out.
